Everything You Should Know about Hair Replacement

A look into the types of hair loss and different treatments that is available for hair loss.

For many people losing hair can be an extremely upsetting and disturbing experience. People who suffer from hair loss usually experience forms of anxiety as a result of losing their hair. This is often a very mild feeling of insecurity or may be apparent as a loss of confidence. This is because many people believe that if they lose their hair that people perceive them differently to when they have a full head of hair.

The fact is that in many cases people do have a different perception of someone that has lost their hair but in reality the effect of this is minimal.

Nevertheless the psychological effects of losing hair should not be understated. Both men and women experience a loss of confidence as a result of hair loss and this is because for many their hair is considered a vital part of their sexuality. For both men and women hair is associated with sexuality and those without hair often feel that they are not as sexy as they were with a full head of hair.

It is fair to say that this tends to affect women more often than it affects men. Women are generally less prone to hair loss than men and because there are lots of cases in which men lose their hair it is in some ways more widely accepted in our culture. The negative image of baldness is somewhat surprising when compared to the image of hair loss in primates.

Gorillas actually revere members of their social group that are balding. Indeed gorillas have been found to rub their heads against hard objects in an attempt to reduce the thickness of their hair. This is seen to make them more attractive to the opposite sex. Why is this not always the case with humans?

Causes

One of the main causes of hair loss is as a result of hereditary factors. Male pattern baldness is the most common form of hair loss and there are hundreds of thousands of men that experience this type of hair loss. It is considered a natural form of hair loss and many people decide against a course of action and accept it. Pattern baldness also happens to women but far fewer women suffer this form of hair loss as men.

ReGrow Plus: Support Healthy Crculation Hair Follicles*

Another cause of hair loss is trichotillomania. This is a disease in which people that suffer compulsively pull out their own hair. The hair loss that is caused by this disease tends to leave bald on the sufferers head in the areas in which the hair was pulled out. The positive thing about this type of hair loss is that the hair can usually grow back providing the sufferer is able to stop pulling it out. Another form of hair loss that is often experienced is that caused by radiation as a result of treatment for cancer. This type of hair loss can be particularly upsetting but usually clears up after treatment has ended.

Hair replacement techniques

Hair transplant surgery has been around for around one hundred years. In medical terms it is a very young discipline and as a result it has experienced a great number of advancements in recent years. The techniques that are used have been updated and amended throughout the years and as a result refinements in the ways procedures are carried out are happening all the time.

Techniques have developed to the extent where people can have hair replacement surgery and the results can compare to the look of natural hair.

The Paleolithic Diet: What the heck is this?

The Paleolithic Diet:

From a careful study of various races and ethnicities across the world, we know that there are some races that are relatively healthier than others. These races have probably not been touched by lifestyle conditions like diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension and the like. This fact has led certain people to believe that there are certain aspects of their diet that helps in healthier living.

The Paleolithic diet is also known by various other names such as the ‘Stone Age diet’, ‘Cave Man diet’, ‘Paleo diet’ and ‘Hunter-Gatherer diet’, to name a few. The diet is based on a holistic theory that details all the practices that need to be followed. The basic premise is that as man evolved and participated in the agricultural, industrial and technological revolution, the genetic structure of man did not really keep pace. In other words, the plan suggests that sticking to the diet that was followed by the pre-agricultural man can ensure better health and natural weight loss.

Natural Moves:4 Constipasion Support healthy open bowel

The diet covers all food components like proteins, carbohydrates, fat, antioxidants and phytosterols. It includes meat, fish, and poultry, along with fruits and plants that are edible in their raw state. The diet does not recommend consuming grains, beans and potatoes because these categories of foods are not edible in their raw state, and therefore it was believed that they were never meant to be consumed by humans in the first place.

Foods like grains, beans and potatoes entered the diet because they could be stored for longer period of time without refrigeration, they were packed with calories, and they could also be used as seeds to sow the next crop, thus making farming easier. Logical as these reasons may sound, they are not linked to the overall capability of man to digest and process these foods.

Over time, there were other foods that got added to the repertoire. These were added when man realized that toxins in some foods could be removed by merely cooking them over heat. Man also started extending the gains that could be extracted from cattle by using dairy products for human consumption. With time, salt, sugar and other additives like coloring and preservatives made their way into our diet. There is therefore no doubt why we people need to detoxify themselves from time to time and take nutrient supplements to stay healthy.

The Paleolithic diet encourages consumption of meat, chicken, fish, fruits, vegetables, and berries, and suggests that salt, sugar, grains, beans, potatoes and dairy products be avoided at all cost. Though the diet does not claim to be a weight loss program, returning to the basics can help you in losing weight naturally. Problems like indigestion, acidity, bloating and other lifestyle-related conditions can all be avoided if you stick to the Paleolithic diet over an extended period of time.

Water: The Best Home Remedy to Detox Your Body

The natural detoxification system of the human body consists of the liver, the kidneys, the digestive system and the skin. The system is often put to the test due to the inhalation of pollutants and the unhealthy foods we consume. Even your dentist can contribute to your toxicity if he/she uses mercury amalgam to fill cavities. These amalgams can enter the body while brushing or can shed on their own over time.

For these reasons, you should choose a detox product or an herbal detox program to cleanse your body periodically. You could time it after a hectic vacation or a period of overindulgence. Some simple modifications in your regular diet and the addition of home remedies for natural detox can also prove to be helpful in cleansing your body over time.

However, in search of a good detox treatment, we tend to ignore one of the simplest detox remedies that exists and is extremely easy to include in our daily lives, water. Water is the last word in home remedies for detoxification. It is the best natural cleansing agent and helps in dispelling toxins from the body in more ways than one.

  • US $39.95Buy It Now

Drinking water provides the much needed hydration to the cells and body as a whole.

  • Hydration - If the amount of water in the body is insufficient, the cells start to draw water from the blood. This puts unnecessary pressure on the heart and can prove to be harmful in the long run.
  • Kidneys – Even short-lived dehydration can potentially affect kidney functioning. When the kidneys work too hard, the liver begins to take over. This initiates a chain reaction that affects other organs that help in detoxification. The net result is a heavier workload for the detoxification system as a whole. This can lead to conditions like acne, urinary tract infections, constipation and related medical disorders.

There is historical evidence that ancient cultures relied heavily on hot and cold baths and saunas for hygiene and health. All ancient cultures had bathing rituals for keeping their skin in proper condition.

Sweating is an essential part of the detoxification process. It is as essential as proper bowel movements. Sweat can change lipid toxins into water soluble toxins, and these water soluble toxins are then easily eliminated through the pores as sweat. Hot and cold baths and saunas open up the pores for smooth sweating.

Detoxification of the body is a continuous process. There is nothing that can be called a “quick detox” remedy or product. You have to be aware of the need of eliminating toxins regularly and properly. Home remedies can be easily ingested, and among home remedies, water is the easiest, most affordable remedy include in your daily diet.

Suffering From Nasty Body Ador? You’re not alone..

It's all about body hygiene..

We have all experienced body odor at some time in our life - whether it was after sweating through a particularly strenuous sports activity or wearing a certain pair of shoes that always seem to cause smelly feet! Body odor can be unpleasant as well as embarrassing and for some people, it is a constant worry.

So what really causes body odor?

Though most people think of body odor as being caused by perspiration, there is more to the problem than this. Body odor is actually produced by a combination of anaerobic bacteria and products excreted from your body during exertion or periods of raised metabolism. Moisture and the secretions of apocrine sweat glands promote the growth of these bacteria on the skin which result in an odor. Perspiration itself has no particular smell.

The smell of waste products excreted by our bodies is also affected by toxins we have ingested or absorbed into our bodies. In a modern environment our bodies are subjected to a host of chemicals and toxins in our food - including pollution in the air and even household cleaning products.

Diet is another important factor affecting body odor. Certain foods, such as onion, garlic, spicy dishes, fried foods and coffee can dramatically, though temporarily, increase unpleasant body odor. People who are prone to body odor should avoid these types of food. In the long-term, poor dietary habits can also lead to occasional constipation and micronutrient deficiencies - two other culprits of body odor.

Excessive sweating and/or body odor are sometimes an indication of an underlying ailment including liver disease, metabolic disorders or periods of hormonal change like puberty or menopause. If you have experienced a sudden and persistent change in perspiration or body odor it is important to consult your health care provider to exclude an underlying medical condition.

How is common body odor usually treated?

If there is no underlying medical cause for the problem of common body odor, most people go through a process of looking for an antiperspirant or deodorant product that will rid them of unpleasant body odor. Underarm and foot deodorants or antiperspirants are popular options.

Some people may try brand after brand to try to promote body freshness.

However, these synthetic deodorants and antiperspirants are also not without their own health risks.

Antiperspirants and deodorants contain substances like aluminum, polyethylene, talc and dimethicone. These chemicals have been associated with many health problems including Alzheimer’s, kidney disease and cancer.

What is DeodoRite?

Allow me, DeodoRite is a 100% safe (risk free) and effective internal natural remedy, especially formulated to support the natural cleansing functions of the body, helping to keep us smelling as sweet as nature intended! Yes you read me.

The formula has been specially manufactured to support the healthy elimination of toxins from the body, promote healthy liver functioning and maintain the health of the sweat glands.

How has DeodoRite helped others?

Here is one happy person..

“Well I can't believe how gooooood this stuff is. I got one bottle and within 1 week I noticed a difference! I have also given this product to my son who is just as happy with the results. Thanks for making these products possible for me and my family.”

What the Heck Is the Sensory Diet?

The Sensory Diet

Most of the diets that we hear about these days are diets that help us to lose weight, as the preoccupation with slimness has reached abominable heights. However, we do know that there are specific diets that are available for specific body conditions like diabetes, angina and other such lifestyle-related ailments.

It is interesting to know that experts are now also developing diets that aim at a better development of the human body. One such diet is the Sensory Diet, named by OT Patricia Wilbarger. The program is a combination of certain activities and a diet plan that is customized for each individual based on personality and specific needs.

More precisely, the Sensory Diet program aims at providing sensory input to excite or relax the nervous system of an individual. It can easily be assumed that the diet is more beneficial for children and teenagers, since they are still in the developmental stages of their lives.

The Sensory Diet program has two aspects – activities that provide inputs for the various sensory points, and a diet that can accentuate or reduce the sensitivity of a sensory point.

The various sensory points that are covered under the Sensory Diet activity planner are:

  • Proprioception – This sensory point refers to the sensations received from muscles, joints and connective tissues. Activities that involve pulling, pushing, jumping and carrying heavy objects can provide stimulus to these senses.
  • Vestibular – This is the sense that enables coordinated movement and balance. The sense is located in the inner ear of the human body. Running in circles, roller coaster rides, cart wheeling and dancing are good inputs to activate this sense.
  • Tactile – The sense of touch can be heightened or stimulated by touching various objects to understand texture, pressure, temperature and other touch-related feelings. Exposure to various surfaces, bubbles, foam, eating frozen, warm and fizzy foods and activities like carpentry, sewing and sculpting can provide the required stimulation.
  • Auditory – This sense is connected with the vestibular sense since both reside in the ear. Listening to various kinds of music (instrumental, jazz, rock etc) and paying attention to nature’s sounds, like the sound of the waves against the rocks on the beach and birds twittering, are some ways in which this sense can be activated.
  • Visual – There is a fair amount of stimulation that already exists in the environment with regards to this sense. However, adding bright colors to the surroundings can help.
  • Auditory – Stimulating this sense can have other benefits, too. You can use certain smells and fragrances to achieve a calmer feeling. This can be done by using safe herbal fragrances that can make you feel at peace.
  • Taste – Interestingly linked with smell, this sense can be stimulated by experimenting with various flavors and different foods. This sense will also interact with the tactile sense, when different flavors are tried on foods that have varying textures.

As mentioned before, it is fairly obvious that the various stimuli that can be used with this diet can be extremely beneficial for a child. To augment the benefits that are to be gained from such an activity chart for the child, a Sensory Diet has also been developed. This diet needs to be modified based on the specific requirements of a child. It includes a variety of flavors, textures, and smells that the child experiences throughout the day. The diet program is actually interspersed with the various activities that are recommended.

Parents who are looking to start their children on the Sensory Diet need not worry about weight loss for their kids. The diet plan is based on the age of the child and takes the activity levels of the child into consideration. There are no weight loss supplements that are advised, since the diet plan ensures the right level of nutrients for the child.

Natural Weight Loss - Herbal Tea Weight Management

Weight Management

Weight management information including natural, homeopathic, and herbal remedies as well as general wellbeing advice for weight loss

Natural Weight Loss - Herbal Tea

Whether you are overweight or downright obese, treatment for both conditions requires a concerted effort to obtain lasting weight loss solutions.

Weight increases when the intake of calories is more than the amount of calories that is burned in a day. Therefore, the only way that you can reduce weight is by either decreasing your caloric intake (diet) or by increasing your energy usage (burning more calories). Weight loss medications should be avoided until all natural weight loss options have been exhausted since these medicines are known to have side effects.

Reducing weight naturally requires burning more calories and fat through exercise. This requires living an active lifestyle. Coupled with a low fat diet, this ensures that the process of losing weight can be accelerated.

Researchers have also thought that if the metabolic rate of an individual can be increased, burning fat can be made easier. The metabolic rate actually explains why certain people eat so much and still do not put on weight, whereas others seem to gain weight with every bite they take.

There are certain natural products, herbs and foods that have inherent properties of increasing the metabolic rate in the body. A research published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Urology has established that green tea is highly beneficial in overall weight loss. Caffeine and antioxidants present in green tea are the main substances responsible for increasing the metabolism.

Green tea and herbal tea should be an important part of your diet if you are considering herbal weight loss. Green tea is the common name for the herb, Camellia sinensis. However, there are other herbs that form part of herbal teas. These are presented as stand alone remedies or as combinations with green tea. Some of the herbs, like Garcinia Combogi, Cinnamomum Tamala, Guggul, Senna Leaves, Fennel and Aniseed, have a proven track record in burning extra fat and calories by increasing the metabolic rate.

The need for quick fix remedies has resulted in many fad diets fade from the limelight quickly. Over time people have realized that these solutions are only transient in nature. Those who want lasting weight loss solutions are fast avoiding advertised quick-fixes. There is a growing tendency against low calorie milkshakes and cereal bars as weight loss solutions. A large number of people have a greater inclination towards a balanced diet of natural ingredients and exercise.

Herbal teas have been in use in Asia for generations to help achieve weight loss and relieve a variety of other conditions, like stress and headaches.

In your enthusiasm to lose weight, you should not resort to consuming excessive quantities of herbal tea. Anything consumed in excess can be potentially harmful, even though there are no known side effects of green tea.

The Raw Food Diet: How To Achieve Natural Weight Loss

Amazing as it may sound, a Peanut Butter diet exists that aims at achieving natural weight loss. The diet was introduced in 2002, and when it was launched, it surprised many people that a high-calorie food was the chosen food on which the diet was based.

It is a fact however, that the diet is based on basic scientific knowledge and an understanding of human psychology.

  1. Peanut butter was chosen as the basis of the diet since many people love peanut butter. A diet that allows a certain intake of peanut butter is more manageable than the others that recommend starvation or deprivation of all favorite foods.
  2. Peanut butter acts as an appetite suppressant. The satiety that peanut butter provides can make it easy to stay off from other fatty foods for a considerable amount of time. A study that was conducted in Purdue University (published in the International Journal of Obesity) proved that participants who consumed peanuts and peanut butter had lower levels of hunger for the next two and a half hours. On the other hand, participants who consumed other snacks like crackers were hungry again after about half an hour.
  3. Consuming the preferred peanut butter makes it easier to stay off other foods that are desired, since you feel that you have indulged enough for the day.

Even though the peanut butter diet allows a certain amount of peanut butter everyday, it is still, at the end of the day, a reduced-calorie diet. A sample recommended meal plan for the day includes a banana, a cereal and milk for breakfast; a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and an apple for lunch; a peanut better snack in between lunch and dinner; and a dinner menu that is devoid of peanut butter that contains chicken, nuts and salad.

This meal plan adds up to a calorie intake of 1500 calories for women and 2200 for men and a weight loss of between one-half to one pound can be expected per week. Women are allowed four tablespoons of peanut butter while men can enjoy up to six spoons a day as part of this peanut butter diet.

The peanut butter diet plan also recommends a moderate level of exercise each day. Forty-five minutes of aerobic exercise is advised to obtain best results.

Given that this diet plan is less demanding and does not expect dieters to starve, it has been successful in helping many people achieve weight loss. The diet does not need additional weight loss supplements to be included as part of the diet, as it targets an achievable reduction in daily calories.

AfterBirth Drops: Speed up delivery of the placenta and recovery after childbirth

Natural Native Remedies: The after birth process - bouncing back Fast

"AfterBirth Drops: Speed up delivery of the placenta and recovery after childbirth"

Once the challenges of labor and childbirth are over and you are holding your dear new baby in your arms at last, it is time for the third and last stage of labor - the delivery of the placenta. This is the last hurdle you need to cross before you are home free!

While you will probably feel excited to see your baby for the first time, there is still work to be done to complete the process of childbirth.

The natural way:

The body naturally facilitates contractions after birth. These contractions (sort of like aftershocks from an earthquake) are needed to expel the placenta and relax the mother after delivery of the baby .These contractions are triggered by a hormone called oxytocin.

A new mother's body continues to release oxytocin once the baby is born. It does this because the uterus still needs to contract to detach and deliver the placenta and membranes which have contained and sustained your baby throughout the pregnancy.

Your first physical contact with your baby will also produce an extra rush of oxytocin hormone. This 'surge' makes the uterus contract to facilitate the separation of the placenta, so it can deliver spontaneously.

As the placenta totally separates it folds down over itself, with the increased weight helping to shear off the membranes (or sac, that the baby was encased in) from the rest of the uterus and for the whole afterbirth to pass down through the cervix, to be expelled.

It can take up to an hour or more to deliver the placenta - many new moms spend this time trying to relax and recover, or enjoying their new baby!

So, what the heck is AfterBirth Drops?

Hold on, Let me explain! AfterBirth Drops have been especially formulated to support mothers during the third stage of labor - the delivery of the placenta. Containing a proprietary blend of herbal ingredients, Afterbirth Drops help to support this natural process and complete labor, while providing natural uterine tonic support for postnatal recovery, during which the uterus returns to its pre-pregnancy size.

The formula remains true to the whole spectrum method of herbal extraction, ensuring the bio-availability and balance of all the active ingredients contained in the remedy.

This method of manufacture also significantly reduces the likelihood of side effects and maintains all active ingredients in perfect balance - exactly as nature intended!

AfterBirth Drops Benefits:

  • Support the natural production of oxytocin hormone to stimulate after-birth contractions
  • Promote natural delivery of the placenta
  • Support the body in its natural ability to shrink the uterus back to its pre-pregnancy size
  • Help to soothe the mother during the third stage of labor
  • Promote postnatal recovery

How has AfterBirth Drops helped others?

  • I am a firm believer in the use of natural products and used your remedies throughout my pregnancy. My labor went well and I managed to avoid all types of artificial, medical intervention. By the time I had delivered Kayla, though, I could not believe that I still had to push more to deliver the placenta! I was ready to collapse from the effort of the previous hours! I am so glad my midwife remembered about my AfterBirth Drops and gave them to me to take. Within minutes I felt motivated, clear-headed and ready to give those last few pushes that were needed of me. Thank you [Native Remedies]- your products helped me every step of the way!”

Herbal supplement to support healthy teen diets and teen weight loss

Goodbye to the ‘baby fat’ and hello waistline!

Teenage years mean change - change in mood, emotions, physical appearance, attitude and almost everything. With this transition comes change in body shape for both guys and girls.

"Herbal supplement to support healthy teen diets and teen weight loss"

Girls tend to fill out and become more padded to accommodate a widening in the hips and chest – for a womanly figure. Boys tend to fill out all over and while most will accumulate muscle mass with exercise, there is also a large percentage that may struggle to rid themselves of stubborn baby fat.

‘Baby fat’ commonly affects girls as well and most teenagers feel self-conscious about their changing bodies and strive for ‘perfection’. It is also true that the metabolic rate of teenagers changes as they leave their childhood years behind.

Where once they may have eaten take out without consequence, teens may find that the extra burger now adds to their seemingly ever-growing frame.

The natural way

Many unhealthy teen weight loss tips are propagated in today's media. Because this can easily lead to self esteem problems and excessive dieting, it is important not to ignore the way that teenagers feel about their bodies and to support them in healthy weight loss goals when they need it.

Natural remedies have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to support the healthy functioning of the metabolism and digestive system, thereby helping to achieve a balanced weight and body type.

In more recent times, research has confirmed this traditional wisdom. There are now many published clinical studies demonstrating the ability of a range of herbs to support the normal functioning of the stomach, the digestive system and a healthy metabolism.

"My youngest son (Josh) has never been as sporty as his older brothers and has always been a little tubby. Because of this, he has also shied away from sports and exercise. I came across TeenSlim and decided to give it a try, and I cannot believe the results! Josh is looking so well, and his skin is looking (good); I overheard him telling his friends that he wanted to go hiking! As a family, we are trying some of the tips you gave, and it is all working. I know Josh would never write to you, so I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the results on his behalf. Thank you for a fantastic product!

Types | Symptoms and Natural Remedies of Acne

Acne is a chronic disorder of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Some of the characteristics of acne include black heads, pimples, cysts, infected abscesses, and rarely scarring. Acne usually occurs during adolescence in both men and women. To be more specific, acne starts during puberty and tends to get worse for people with oily skin.

There are two main types of acne and they are inflammatory and non-inflammatory.

Non-inflammatory acne is the usual whiteheads and the blackheads that most people develop on the face. This is a mild form of acne that can be treated with over the counter medicines.

Inflammatory acne is the more serious ones where the whiteheads develop pus, become inflamed, and eventually red. Inflammatory acne can result in cysts or scars on the face, chest, neck and shoulders. You need to get prescription drugs and may be even surgery in most extreme cases.

Acne appears as whiteheads and/or blackheads on the face, shoulders, neck and chest. Acne can range from mild to severe and can last a few weeks, months, years or can come and go throughout life. If a blemish becomes infected, a pimple can result. Severe acne can be painful and can cause serious scars if not treated.

The symptoms of acne are found in both men and women including teenagers. The most common symptoms of acne are recurrent and persistent red spots and swelling on the skin which is known as acne. Acne can be found anywhere on the body. Acne occurs due to the high concentration of sebaceous glands in the areas which includes upper back, chest, face, neck and shoulders.

Possible complications of acne include cysts, permanent facial scars, changes in skin color and damage to self-esteem, confidence, personality and social life.

Comedones (kom-uh-DO-neze) are created when the openings of hair follicles become clogged and blocked with oil secretions, dead skin cells and sometimes bacteria. When comedones are open at the skin surface they're called blackheads because of the dark appearance of the plugs in the hair follicles.

The biggest problem a person faces with these signs and symptoms of acne is that if any are allowed to rupture they can actually lead to the infection and inflammation spreading to other areas of skin surrounding them. Therefore it is important that a person suffering from any of the acne signs and symptoms above should seek medical advice from their doctor as soon as possible. Simply because they may actually find that they have some other underlying medical problems.
